WHAT WE DO |
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) focuses on the reduction of maladaptive behaviors that can interfere with learning and independent living. We focus on reducing these maladaptive behaviors by teaching and increasing more functional replacement skills. These replacement skills can include but are not limited to functional communication, social skills, daily living skills, conversation skills, and certain academic skills. The field of ABA involves only implementing evidence-based interventions. This means the interventions utilized have a strong theoretical basis, tested rigorously, and peer reviewed. Socially Significant ABA focuses on not only just reducing maladaptive behaviors but also teaching and reinforcing skills that is needed to live as independently as possible. ABA involves active data-based decision making throughout services. This means our analysts and behavior technicians continually measure and record progress. The data is graphed and analyzed to help our staff make the most informed design on your child’s intervention. |
